A mural, a living blackboard, a space for collective thought.
This community intervention on the exterior wall of La Nueva Fábrica was conceived by Mi Calle, Nuestra Calle as part of its public space pedagogy program, aiming to maintain an open and ongoing dialogue with the neighboring community of Santa Ana village. Designed as an urban participation device, the mural functions as a pedagogical tool where reflection on the cycles of time—past, present, and imagined futures—is invited through questions that provoke critical thinking and creativity. Accompanying the workshops developed during the MCNC residency, the mural became a collective work space where participants, using colored chalks, could freely write, draw, or intervene on the proposed themes. The piece remains active, having integrated itself into the daily activities of La Nueva Fábrica, and is still used today as an open channel for communication and shared imagination with the community.
