As part of their participation in the prestigious artistic residency at La Nueva Fábrica, artists Jesica Bastidas and Sophia Arrazola conducted a series of creative workshops focused on prospective thinking and civic education for the local community women. Throughout the process, participants reflected on their memories of the past, experiences in the present, and aspirations for the future, which they collectively expressed in a textile art piece.
The result was an evolving installation that, through embroidery, represents various timelines—past, present, and re-signified futures. The final version of the artwork was exhibited in the main gallery lobby, inviting reflection on time, shared experiences, and the possibility of imagining alternative futures as a collective healing process for past wounds.
